Couldn't have been a better morning session for Bangladesh. They started the day under pressure and a wicket or two early could have dented them. But Chittagong's adopted son Mominul along with an impressive Liton Das batted right through the session to more or else settle the nerves in the dressing room. The pair mixed caution with aggression and their positive intent is what made them succeed. Sri Lanka tried a lot of things but couldn't penetrate on a pitch that has largely remained good for batting. There is some turn and bounce but nothing alarming. Also, the slowness of the surface ensures that a batsmen once set is too hard to dislodge. This partnership has ensured that the chances of a Bangladesh defeat are now dim, unless they get bowled out in the next session. That is not impossible but seems improbable on this pitch. Join us in  after few moments for the second session.
